Brave Santa

When Brighton had her preschool Christmas party, a special visitor came to see all the kids. We have been preparing for this for a while because Brighton's timid personality doesn't make for very fun events. She has always been scared of confrontation/ performances/ anything out of her comfort zone. Last year we were able to stand 5 feet away and I had to hold her and she was still quite leery to see the big man in the red suit. So this year I was dreading the inevitable. When Santa arrived at her school, she stood in line quietly, walked up to him when it was her turn and told him exactly what she wanted. She even smiled for a picture! I was so shocked and proud of her! I really think she's finally coming out of her shell which makes me relieved.

Brighton loved the fact that she made her very own stocking and was able to fill it with goodies from her classmates.

This little man enjoyed the party as well. He is definitely not as shy as little B. He will forever be our little ham. He tries to get the attention of anyone and everyone that he can. What a set of different personalities for one little family!

Abby is the same way with being a little apprehensive with new things. She's slowly coming out of her shell too, and it's so nice!
